Will you have any awards?
The Butler County Donut Trail Cycle Challenge is a leisure cycling ride and not a timed cycling event.

Will there be any ride swag?
Definitely! The Butler County Donut Trail Cycle Challenge registration includes some sweet swag. Each rider will receive an insulated water bottle and a custom challenge T-shirt.

Can you tell me a little more about the course? Are there hills?
The Donut Trail Cycle Challenge will take place on beautiful, scenic roads throughout Butler County, Ohio. The course navigates rural and major roads, so please ride with caution.  The Twisted 29 includes small, rolling hills. Sit back, and take in the view as you conquer this course and the many delicious confections.

Please note exact route mileage will vary based on individual rider Yum Zone visits

What time will the course close?
Please remember that all roads are open to traffic on rural and major roads, so please ride with caution. The course is open for riding until 12:00PM.

Will there be water stations located throughout the course?
Yes, there will be water stations at each Donut Yum Zone. Please stay hydrated as shade can be limited along the course. Please reference our course maps for approximate locations.

When will registration close?
You can register up through the morning of the ride! However, swag can’t be guaranteed.

Where will packet pick up be located?
There will be two options for collecting your packet:

Friday, September 20th from 4-7PM at Municipal Brew Works (20 High St., Hamilton, OH 45011). Please note: All participants must sign race waivers from USA Cycling. If another rider is collecting your packet on your behalf, you must sign your waiver on race day at the packet pick-up table.

Saturday, September 21st from 6:30-8:00AM at Marcum Park (116 Dayton St., Hamilton, OH 45011). Packet pick-up will take place in front of the RiversEdge Amphitheatre under the Butler County Visitors Bureau tent.

Is there on-site parking available at the Marcum Park?
Unfortunately, this area will be closed for course setup and safety reasons. Plently of great parking options can be located on the City of Hamilton’s Downtown Parking Map. Free parking will be available at the McDulin Garage.

Is there a charity component?
Yes! A portion of the Donut Trail Cycle Challenge proceeds will benefit the Butler County United Way.

What if there is inclement weather?
The challenge will take place rain or shine. The challenge will be cancelled only if absolutely necessary. In this case, there will be no refunds. Each athlete must accept the risks taken.

Will electrical bicycles be allowed?
Electrical bikes will not be allowed to participate. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Are spectators welcome?
Yes, spectators are welcome to attend the event and cheer on participants. Donut enthusiasm is highly encouraged.

Will there be a post-race party?
Absolutely! Join us for a post-race celebration at Municipal Brew Works with a food truck and live music! Get $1 off a Municipal Brew Works beer by redeeming your ticket. Refuel with some carbs from Mama Bear Mac – a Gourmet Mac and Cheese food truck.

What is the Butler County Donut Trail?
The Butler County Donut Trail is comprised of 12 mom-and-pop donut shops. Passport in hand you visit each shop to collect unique stamps. Once your passport is fully complete, trail conquerors can trade their passport for the official Donut Trail T-shirt. This tasty adventure was the inspiration for the Donut Trail Cycle Challenge! Please note: The Butler County Donut Trail and T-shirt reward require a separate passport from the Donut Trail Cycle Challenge. The Donut Trail Cycle Challenge will have its own commemorative shirt!
